Mardi Gras Mask

The other night I was reading the amazing masterpiece of writing that is Something Wicked This Way Comes by the phenomenal Ray Bradbury when I started doodling after reading a few chapters, annnnnnd this was the result. I originally was just going to leave the mask and the feathers with no background but my mom told me it reminded her of Mardi Gras when I showed it to her, so after that the background sort of fell into place. 
It's not perfect by any means, and I'm sure I could've done a whole lot better on it but, I'm overall happy with the result I suppose. I'm still trying experimenting around to find my style, I'm hoping this is one step closer to accomplishment, but only time will tell.  

Done in about two days, mainly because I had other responsibilities I had to take care of. Lol. This one was done with watercolour, sharpie and gel pen. on 9x12 Sketch paper. The photo I took definitely doesn't do it any justice, but maybe I'll post a scan of it later when I get the chance. Well, that's all, comment, etc, if you like it or if not doesn't matter really, I just like reading comments whether they be good or bad, but the good ones are always the favored. Haha.
